YOUR ROLE
The position will work according to defined long-term organizational strategic goals, builds key customer relationships, identifies business opportunities, negotiates and closes business deals and maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions, leading business development team. The role works to improve CEVA’s market position and achieve financial growth. It is the role’s job to work with other managers to increase business opportunities and thereby maximize revenue for the organization. The role will work closely with other internal departments to ensure a seamless and positive customer experience and that customers are constantly fully informed, updated and satisfied.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
- Head of the central Business Development Division as well as responsibility for the strategic orientation of growth and the achievement of the annual new business target by sector and customer.
- Planning, management and development of employees as well as resource planning.
- Analysis of performance indicators of the department and derivation of necessary measures.
- Responsibility to achieve budget figures.
- Participation in the preparation of the budget as well as review & implementation of the monthly financial statements.
- Support for large projects, strategic businesses as well as new business and their implementation.
- Effective implementation of the business development strategy and strategic growth-critical measures.
- Responsibility for the successful cooperation of the business development functions, the cooperation with other product departments as well as with other business development teams on Regional and global level.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Transportation, Supply Chain Management or related field of study is a Must.
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Transportation, Supply Chain management or related field of study is a plus.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of Sales / Business Development management in International Freight Forwarding and/or Integrated Logistics service providers.
- Customer Service and Operational experience is a plus.
- Good Knowledge of Airfreight, Ocean Freight, Ground Freight, Contract Logistics products is a must.
- Demonstrated sales success and knowledge of sales concepts, methods and techniques.
- Successfully completed technical or commercial training in the field of forwarding / industry or comparable studies (business administration, economics, logistics, industrial engineering or similar).
- Proven ability to lead teams in a matrix structure.
- Very good English skills in spoken and written is a must.
- Very good French skills in spoken and written is a plus.
- Excellent MS Office user knowledge (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, MS-Project).
- Negotiation power and quality awareness.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills as well as motivation skills.
- Very good analytical and conceptual skills in combination with strong entrepreneurial action and critical thinking.
- Excellent and up-to-date specialist and market-specific knowledge.
- Structured, strategic as well as solution- and goal-oriented way of working.
