DARE TO GROW! Join CEVA Logistics, and you will be part of a team that values imagination, encourages boldness and exemplarity, and is committed to excellence in everything we do. Join us in our mission to shape the future of global logistics as we become a global leader in the logistics industry. As we continue growing at a fast pace, will you “Dare to Grow” with us?

YOUR ROLE

Our warehouse location in The Hague is growing and so is the Engineering team. We are therefore looking for a new Project Engineer! As a Project Engineer you will be responsible for the supervision of improvement projects for the existing warehouse layout, and for implementation projects for (new) customers. Thanks to your good ideas and advice, our departments will work more effectively and efficiently, and you will contribute directly to The Hague's success!

WHAT ARE YOU DOING?

As a Project Engineer, you will work with two fellow Engineers on multiple projects. Depending on your experience and ambition, the different projects will be divided within the team. The complexity of projects also plays a role in this, and these are diverse. Think of designing a new or analyzing the current warehouse layout, reporting and data analysis (dashboarding, forecasting, data displays), providing support with business cases for decisions, improving operational processes (KPI) and (support in) an implementation of a new customer.

Specifically, you will perform the following duties:

  • Identify desired changes by analyzing existing processes, procedures and systems;
  • Coordinating a (partial) implementation or improvement project;
  • Developing various models for capacity, productivity, throughput time, et cetera;
  • Advising internal and external stakeholders;
  • Reporting on and administering the work.

You will work at our warehouse location in The Hague. Your supervisor is the Engineering Lead and you are part of the Operational Excellence department within the region. You have close contact with your fellow Engineers in Amsterdam and Nieuwegein and are willing to offer them support when needed. Monday to Friday are your working days and you are flexible in arranging your working hours within office hours (08:00-17:00). Working from home is possible by mutual agreement but is not the norm. In addition, part-time employment is possible (minimum 36 hours).

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for an experienced Logistics Engineer who enjoys optimizing processes within a large logistics environment. You are good at accurately processing, analyzing, and monitoring data. You have a lot of contact with different colleagues, so we are looking for someone who is communicatively strong. Also, you are stress resistant and have a mindset where continuous improvement prevails.

You will bring the following knowledge and experience, among others:

  • Minimum hbo working and thinking level;
  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience in logistics, or in consulting or interim assignments related to logistics and supply chain;
  • Experience with project-based work;
  • Highly proficient with automated systems and with MS Office (especially Excel);
  • Good command of the English language is a requirement (the working language is English); Dutch is a plus.

Non-Dutch-Speaking candidates are welcome! Be aware that working from the office is required. So, candidates living close to The Hague (<1 hour travel time) will only be considered. Next to that, CEVA Logistics is not a Visa sponsor, nor do we provide service with relocating.

WHAT DO WE OFFER?

CEVA has an informal and transparent corporate culture. We are in a dynamic and growing market and are a fast-growing and continuously innovating company. At CEVA we strive daily for improvements in all layers of our organization. Our mission is to be the most professional logistics partner and we could use you to help us do that! At CEVA there is plenty of room for personal development and ambitions. We offer plenty of career possibilities and think in terms of opportunities.

In addition, as a Project Engineer, you will receive the following from us:

  • A gross monthly salary between € 2.878,19 and € 4,450.05 and 8% holiday pay (grading depending on your work experience and level of education);
  • A one-year contract with the prospect of permanent employment;
  • Working conditions in accordance with our own CEVA CLA including 25 holidays and 5 ADV days;
  • Profit distribution of up to 3% in the event of positive operating results and a good pension scheme;
  • A telephone and laptop and travel allowance (free parking in front of the door);
  • Working hours are flexible, you own your own schedule and have the possibility to work from home;
  • The possibility for part-time employment (minimum 36 hours).
