YOUR ROLE


We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our fast-paced ecommerce operation based at East Midlands Gateway as an MHE Trainer where you will deliver training programs for various types of material handling equipment to our on-site colleagues.

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

 

Reporting into the Warehouse Supervisor you will lead training programs, ensuring our staff are skilled in the latest material handling equipment techniques. Additional responsibilities include:

 

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for various types of material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, etc.).
  • Conduct both classroom and hands-on training sessions to certify employees in the safe operation of MHE.
  • Assess and evaluate trainees’ performance to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.
  • Maintain accurate training records and certification documentation.
  • Update training materials and programs as needed to reflect changes in regulations and best practices.
  • Collaborate with the safety and planning teams to identify training needs and improve overall warehouse safety.
  • Provide refresher courses and ongoing training for existing employees.

 

This is a Monday to Friday role working 40 hours per week.

 

For this role, we require flexibility. The usual hours are 10:00-18:30, but sometimes we may need you to work from 06:00-14:30 or 14:00-22:00 to suit the training requirements.

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

Our ideal candidates will have:

 

  • Proven experience as an MHE Trainer or in a similar role within a logistics or warehouse environment.
  • Certification as a forklift trainer or in other relevant MHE.
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA and other safety regulations related to warehouse operations.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to develop engaging and effective training materials.
  • Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
