For our location in Königs Wusterhausen (Niederlehme district) next to Berlin we are looking for an Operations Manager (m/f/d).

 

 

YOUR FUTURE TASKS:

 

  • As Operations Manager, you will lead your department (currently around 120 employees) from a technical and disciplinary perspective (in coordination with operations management and HR), develop your team and motivate them to perform at their best.
  • With your team, consisting of shift and team leaders, you ensure the timely processing of planned customer orders and ensure the implementation of contractual specifications and the associated customer satisfaction.
  • You are responsible for strategic resource planning for your area with optimal coordination between order volume and personnel deployment.
  • You control, monitor and optimize the work processes in your area of responsibility and regularly check the process quality.
  • You initiate improvement projects for your department, in particular to reduce costs and improve quality, and implement them safely.
  • You ensure compliance with legal safety regulations and occupational safety regulations and ensure that order and cleanliness are maintained.
  • You will be involved in the preparation and implementation of internal and external audits and certifications.

 

 

THAT'S WHAT WE WANT:

 

  • Your basis is a successfully completed degree in economics with a focus on logistics or a comparable field of study or a completed specialist vocational training, such as warehouse logistics specialist, logistics foreman, etc.
  • You already have several years of operational logistics experience in a logistics company and experience in employee management (>50 employees, ideally with a multi-shift system).
  • You have a good knowledge of standard MS Office applications and are already familiar with various warehouse management systems, ideally SAP.
  • You communicate confidently in written and spoken English, ideally in combination with other foreign languages.
  • Your management style is fair, motivating and consistent and you are characterized by your outstanding communication and escalation skills.
  • Your distinctive hands-on mentality, your organizational talent and your high customer and service awareness round off your profile.
