SUMMARY:

Overall objective of this role is to support both the individual and collective sales and business development efforts of BOLLORE LOGISTICS USA and the BOLLORE LOGISTICS global network in the areas of strategic pricing.  This role will assist in facilitating growth, new business development and maximize profitability for BOLLORE LOGISTICS USA.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (additional duties may be assigned):

 

RFI (Request for Information about company) :

  • Receive RFI
  • Analyze RFI
  • Use, built up and actualize data base on company’s information.
  • Formatting of RFI response and presentation

 

RFQ (Request for quotation) : 4 phases / overall tender management timing

 

1.    Preparation phase:

  • Receive RFQ
  • Analyze RFQ and review with Sales and Marketing Manager
  • Coordination with DVPT manager, regional managers and eventual KAM for strategy purpose on rate and competitiveness.
  • Data split preparation for sea freight input (Ocean freight desk JFK) and airfreight input (each branches concerned).

      

2.   Dispatch phase:

  • Dispatch preparation for sea freight input (Ocean freight desk JFK) and airfreight input (each branches concerned).
  • Coordination and follow up with ocean freight desk
  • Coordination and follow up with each branches for airfreight
  • Coordination with BOLLORE LOGISTICS network (global European and corporate tender)
  • Rates Negotiation handled by BOLLORE LOGISTICS USA branches concerned.

 

3.   Consolidation phase:

  • Collection of data from ocean freight desk :
      • Verification
      • Harmonization (FOB/DDU, other charges)
  • Collection of data from branches :    
      • Compilation in single customer form / data entry
      • Verification
      • Harmonization (FOB/DDU, other charges)
  • RFQ wrap up and forwarding to customer 

 

4.   Follow-up phase: ad-hoc / on-going if successful

  • Rate and instructions dispatch to KAM and respective branches
  • Tenders log

                         

 

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

Ability to speak read and comprehend English and French.   Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.  Ability to communicate with customers and overseas offices in a professional.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Three years related experience and/or training. Minimum of one year as team leader position in a similar

environment.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs reporting flows and costs analysis.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
