YOUR ROLE

As the Head of Total Rewards for North America, you’ll play a pivotal role in creating a best-in-class Compensation & Benefits team. This team will not only design and integrate innovative total rewards programs across the entire region but also ensure that these programs are effectively branded and implemented. Your expertise should extend beyond financial and accounting aspects, encompassing a deep understanding of benefit plans on a Global scale.  Additionally, you’ll shape our compensation philosophy, policies, and procedures, while staying informed about competitive market trends. Overseeing wage, salary, and short- to long-term incentive policies will be a key part of your responsibilities.

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Benefits:

  • Collaborate with senior and HR leadership to establish and align benefits strategy with corporate objectives.
  • Direct the development, implementation, and administration of health and welfare benefit plans, ensuring compliance with government regulations.
  • Enhance the Benefits function through staff development and vendor expertise to maximize efficiency and customer service.
  • Work with the legal department to mitigate risk, maintain compliance, and manage litigation strategies.
  • Chair the Investment Committee for retirement plans.
  • Lead the annual benefits enrollment process and manage the administration of all corporate benefit programs.
  • Assess and manage the impact of benefit plan changes on costs, other plans, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Payroll, and senior management to enhance benefit plan processes.

Compensation:

  • Apply deep compensation expertise, including understanding pay principles, regulatory compliance, and financial implications.
  • Partner with senior management and HR functions to design and align compensation programs with global reward principles.
  • Develop and communicate compensation programs, including training HR and Business partners.
  • Ensure compensation plans are competitive, cost-effective, and aligned with business strategy.
  • Contribute to the management of Total Rewards Programs to attract, retain, and develop employees.
  • Provide strategic solutions aligned with growth goals and reengineer HR processes.

Payroll:

  • Manage payroll and timekeeping software, including strategic development and maintenance.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance payroll functions and internal controls.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements.
  • Develop and coach payroll staff, conduct evaluations, and recommend salary increases.
  • Coordinate global reporting for expatriate associates.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required, MBA or Master’s preferred.
  • CCP or CEBS certification strongly preferred; SPHR/PHR certification preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in C&B strategy, design, and administration.
  • 10+ years of managerial experience in a large, complex organization.
  • 10+ years of payroll and payroll tax experience in a global, multi-company environment preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and job-related software applications.
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations and benefit rules.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and experience in compensation program design and implementation.
