YOUR ROLE


Key IT resource assigned to drive the technology delivered to the customer. Responsible for helping the team make progress on the project by ensuring each person is working on the right tasks, helping to remove any obstacles to the team members’ progress, and protecting the team from distractions. Subject matter expert responsible for identifying and recommending continuous improvement suggestions to the IT Domain Manager to ensure the direction of the product remains viable for the business. Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

 

  • Manage, motivate, and lead a TMS scrum team consisting of Engineers and QA’s
  • Ensure the team is delivering accuracy, quality, and on-time
  • Collaborate with business and product mgmt. stakeholders to ensure clear requirements are delivered to the engineering team
  • Prepare and/or review detailed specifications for new and existing applications
  • Maintain existing applications with modifications per user requirements
  • Develop and test new application code
  • Provide user training
  • Generate help documentation
  • Research and implement new technologies
  • Utilize all department standards for development, source control, and documentation
  • Design and program new applications utilizing specifications from SDLC
  • Provide expertise in troubleshooting production problems, when requested, and ensuring that a proper resolution is identified and implemented in a timely manner in response to any issues/problems
  • Lead and develop team members; perform code reviews and provide coaching and feedback to team members
  • Prepare detailed technical documentation and specifications for development projects
  • Maintain and enforce architectural standards and guidelines on all development projects

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Computer Science or Business Administration or equivalent experience in logistics operations, such as distribution, transportation.
  • 10+ years’ experience in IT with at least 8 years of .Net technology experience
  • 10+ years’ experience with Logistics applications Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
  • 10+ years’ experience with supply chain activities such as distribution, transportation.
  • Knowledgeable in project management methodologies.
  • Strong skills in C#, Application development with SQL Server, Experience with SDLC lifecycle
  • Multi-tier application development
  • Knowledge of .Net architectural Standards and Frameworks
  • Knowledge and understanding of the latest trends in Web technologies is required
  • In depth knowledge of SQL Server, Stored Procedures, and database-oriented development.
  • Working in a robust software development environment including:
  • Analyzing solution quotations
  • Creating designs from the solution quotations
  • Ability to recognize issues with proposed solutions

 

Preferred:

  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Ability to handle multiple complex problems
  • Database Design & Development
  • Following defined coding standards
  • Working on a large-scale n-tier system.

 

Characteristics & Skills:

  • Business acumen and solid knowledge of applications and implementing logistics technologies.
  • Knowledge of MS Project, Word, Excel, Visio, etc.
  • Able to manage self and team effectively in a dynamic, matrixed environment.
  • Good knowledge of agile frameworks
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Excellent knowledge of scrum techniques and artifacts
  • Able to perform technical analysis and produce effective business requirements documentation.
  • Analytical skills enabling trouble-shooting on software and hardware.
  • Capable of delivering written and graphical work products and presentation materials.
  • Ability to effectively communicate to all project stakeholders on a regular basis.
  • Positive and professional attitude in stressful environments
  • Self-motivated, self-managed. Ability to successfully multi-task and establish appropriate priorities.
  • Skilled in presenting technology solution to internal / external customers in formal or informal situations.
  • May be required to provide on-call support. May be required to work abnormal hours.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently. Fluency in the local language, if different from English.
