YOUR ROLE

 

Our Business Development team that provide tailor made solutions for our air and ocean freight customers have an excellent opportunity for a talented, tenacious, and self-driven Field Sales Business Development Manager.

 

Our busy and high-profile Field Sales Business Development team are integral to generating business and delivering growth across multiple sectors, therefore individuals with a passion and talent for selling air and ocean freight management services will thrive within this role.

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

 

Reporting into the SMLE Field Business Development Director, you will be dedicated to the Manchester region, where you will push boundaries and go the extra mile to knock down doors and solicit new business to drive our organisation forward. With a consultative, solutions based selling style, you will build effective relationships with prospect customers to fully understand their requirements and needs and working in close collaboration with the Freight Management operations team to embed and implement client solutions.

 

Whilst new business will be the key focus, you will also be pivotal in driving growth and sustainability across an existing client portfolio. That’s why we need a determined, self-sufficient, and courageous, energetic individual with expert networking abilities, exceptional communication skills and a dynamic hunter mentality.

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

To be successful in this role you will have a proven track record of delivering growth over a sustained period of time with the ability to develop pipelines through strategic and targeted planning. You will have prior experience of developing compelling value propositions and be able to influence, partner and negotiate at senior levels.

 

It is essential that you have a proven air or ocean freight forwarding sales background and an understanding of freight forwarding solutions to be successful in this role.
