YOUR ROLE
Our local IT infrastructure team based in Ashby de la Zouch have an exciting opportunity for a meticulous and dynamic IT Field Support Specialist where you will provide a “world class” service to our UKI functions and operations, where you will provide technical expertise on various application, software and hardware issue.
This pivotal role will see you supporting our UKI functions and operations, therefore you will be required to travel occasionally across the United Kingdom and Ireland working from various sites.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Reporting into the IT Field Support Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Provide 3rd line technical support resolving complex application, software and hardware issues and reducing reoccurring incidents.
- Provide technical assistance for internal projects and new business implementations.
- Create and maintain accurate process documentation for technical procedures, configurations and solutions.
- Provide a consistent and reliable service, defining service levels, planning delivery schedules and requirements.
- Maintain and improve existing systems, applications and hardware, while ensuring a proactive approach to system optimisation and security.
- Assist in ad-hoc projects as and when required.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
To be successful in your application you will have proven 3rd line support or infrastructure experience ideally within a logistics and supply chain environment. You will be skilled in troubleshooting with excellent analytical skills, able to manage multiple priorities, mitigating risks, maintaining quality, and embedding solutions.
It goes without saying that you will be an excellent communicator, natural problem solver and logical thinker, able to build excellent relationships with a wide range of internal stakeholders.
It would be desirable, however not essential if you have experience in systems development life cycles or technology domain driven.
