YOUR ROLE

 

Our growing Lead Logistics team based in in Ashby de la Zouch has an exciting opportunity for a customer focused and accurate Operations Coordinator where you will oversee daily operations via air, ocean, and ground transportation and manage all communications with customers, global suppliers and 3PL providers via telephone and email.

 

This is a Monday to Friday role, rotating shift, where you will work 08:00-16:30/09:00-17:30 and 12:00-20:00 once every 6 weeks.

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

 

Reporting into the Operations Supervisor you will:

 

  • Receive bookings from client and organise transport requests.
  • Input data into the system to support customer for Manual Shipment requests/out of scope.
  • Liaise with 3PL Carriers to secure appropriate transport.
  • Liaise with CEVA 3PL FM stations (local) for booking transport/shipment monitoring.
  • Ensure all 3PL’s adhere to CEVA’s collection and delivery process and update relevant milestones within agreed timeframes.
  • Tender shipments to other 3PLs (not CEVA) in line with Business Rules – Competitive Tendering via Freightender.
  • Follow up any enquiries or issues raised and ensure milestones are populated for shipments booked.
  • Monitor and update milestones via various systems.

 

 

 

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

Our ideal candidate will have experience in the transport and logistics industry, with a focus on customer service.You will be a self-motivated and well-organized individual who feels comfortable to be a part of a team. Proficiency in using MS Office programs is essential for effective communication and data management.

You will be heavily involved in customer contact; therefore, you will need to be able to communicate effectively via phone and email and be comfortable delivering information relating to any delays in deliveries able to think on your feet in challenging and time critical situations and effectively find solutions to issues in a timely manner.
