YOUR ROLE
As an Operations Coordinator you will be based within our Control Tower at our head office in Ashby-de-la-Zouch. This role oversees daily operations within the control tower ensuring operational services are executed in an effective and efficient manner across several transport service providers and different modes of transport.
This is a Monday – Friday role working 1 in every 5 weekends, offering a hybrid working policy.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Reporting into the Regional Operations Supervisor, you will support with shipment bookings and scheduling activities, where you will liaise heavily with suppliers and carriers to distribute requirements, monitoring shipment movements and progress to achieve operational goals.
This pivotal role will require you to review, validate and administer shipment documentation for international requests ensuring processes meet operational requirements and client deadlines.
You will also be responsible for accurate data input into various internal systems, ensuring information and documentation match requirements, shipments are monitored, and timelines updated.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
To be successful in this role we are looking for experience gained within a transportation or supply chain role. This role requires an individual who has a strong customer ethos, as you build client, supplier and carrier relationships, creating a platform for open and honest communication. You will also have strong collaborative skills, with the ability to engage and embed a positive team culture.
