YOUR ROLE

 

CEVA has been chosen as a preferred outsourcing partner to manage a fully integrated, transformational 3PL fulfilment operation within a flagship purpose-built facility at East Midlands Gateway, increasing our ecommerce offering.

 

This fast-paced environment embraces automation and operational best practices. It will provide essential Logistics services such as inbound & outbound customer fulfilment and value-added services, as well as utilising an approved network of transport providers.

 

We have a number of opportunities for experienced Shift Managers to join our new operation to manage the pick, pack, dispatch and shipping operation across a time critical fast track operation ensuring tight SLAs are adhered to whilst maintaining operational excellence.

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

 

Reporting into the Operations Manager, you will manage daily interaction with the Stock & Planning teams to understand workflow and operational volumes across your shift, ensuring your teams daily activity is coordinated in order to achieve operational targets, whilst identifying areas for quality, cost and service improvements across the site.

 

You will be responsible for the collation of all necessary site operational reports and data and the submission of these in line with required timescales, along with maintaining labor resource availability for spikes in volume and seasonality changes. You will also work co-operatively with others, creating and maintaining a team spirit across the site to achieve a common goal and take full responsibility for Health & Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ).

This position will have working hours from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM, but please note that these hours are subject to change, so flexibility is necessary.

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

We are looking for an experienced Shift Manager or Shift Leader who comes from a 3pl/warehousing background, ideally with prior working knowledge of operating within a new contract start up or has operated within an FMCG/    ecommerce operation. You’ll need to be a robust people manager with a passion for motivating and developing your team, have a keen eye for detail and the ability to understand, follow and champion company procedures.
