YOUR ROLE

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Warehouse Coordinator to join the team based in Derby, East Midlands Gateway! In this role you will support Shift Managers in daily operational activities whilst coordinating a team of warehouse operatives ensuring the movement of goods are carried out in an efficient and effective way.

For this role we have following shifts available: Sunday to Wednesday, AM 05:00-14:45 or PM 14:15 to 00:00 and Wednesday to Saturday, AM 05:00-14:45 or PM 14:15 to 00:00.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Reporting into the Shift Manager you will promote a positive health and safety culture by ensuring regulations and processes are adhered to across the operation and that incidents are investigated and followed up within a timely manner.

You will proactively drive a culture of continuous improvement whilst ensuring work is allocated and carried out to a high standard.

You will monitor and report on attendance and performance in collaboration with the Shift Manager, ensure colleagues attend daily briefing meetings and that sufficient labour is planned and utilised across the operation and that colleagues are appropriately trained.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Our ideal candidate will have previous experience and understanding of a warehousing operation, ideally within a 3PL environment. You will have experience of coordinating and leading a team of operatives and a strong understanding of warehouse management systems. 

You will possess excellent communication and engagement skills, able to build strong relationships with operational teams and the client. You will be IT literate able to create KPI and Performance related reports for management.
