WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO AS LOGISTICS PROJECT ENGINEER?

The Logistics Project Engineer will be in the lead for all kinds of projects to improve our logistics processes, systems and procedures! You can think of projects such as initiating and developing cost savings, being in the lead of (new) business implementations or being in the lead of migrations of existing business and systems. You will collect important data and use this to come up with creative solutions and improvements for our logistics service towards our customer. You pay attention to their questions, wishes and needs. You include the customer and your colleagues in the office and in the warehouse with your ideas and advice. CEVA also works with an automated picking system, where orders are picked using automation and robotization.

THIS IS WHAT YOU ENJOY TO DO!

This role is interesting because you are mainly concerned with the following:

  • Being in the Lead for all kinds of ‘bigger’ projects, where you interact at higher management level, with warehouse operations and with the customer. You guide them and include them in your improvement plan;
  • Collecting and analyzing data, including through reports, interviews and systems;
  • Financial aspects, such as budgets and cost calculations and savings;
  • Customer focus: what wishes and requirements does our customer have? And how will you respond to this with your ideas?
  • Problem solving: what needs to be improved and how would you do that?

 

WHY THIS ROLE IS SOMETHING FOR YOU!

You are a good fit for this role because you recognize yourself in the following qualities:

  • At least a hbo diploma, preferably in Logistics Management, Logistics Engineering or Technical Business Administration;
  • Three to five years of relevant work experience (in a similar role);
  • You can allign your way of communicating to all levels and layers in the organization;
  • You know how to collect your data through systems, reports and socializing with colleagues plus how to analyze it;
  • Knowledge and experience with Excel, mainly with Pivot Table, formulas and reports;
  • Make yourself clearly understood in English in conversation and in writing;

 

HERE YOU WILL WORK!

Your work location is Venray, where we have an entire campus of warehouses (four to be precise) from 35,000 to 60,000 m2! For one of these warehouses you will provide the warehouse, the office staff and the customer with all kinds of improvement ideas and advice in our logistics service. You will work a lot together with colleagues in the warehouse and at the office, plus you will end up in a team of fourteen Project Engineers! You report to the Engineering Lead. Furthermore, the atmosphere can mainly be described as international and dynamic, with plenty of room for fun and bonding! Your working hours are between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

 

WHAT DO WE OFFER YOU?

At CEVA Logistics in Venray we offer you the following, in addition to this great job:

  • A gross salary between € 3,270 and € 4,539 depending on your work experience and education level;
  • An annual contract with the prospect of permanent employment;
