YOUR ROLE 

 

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Air Import Operator to join our fantastic Air Operating Centre based in Hounslow, London Heathrow. Reporting into the Operations Manager you will build and maintain relationships with customers and proactively update them with any delivery issues. 

This is a 4 on 4 off position working 7am – 7pm. 

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO? 

 

As part of the air team, you will handle air import shipments, liaise with overseas agents & airline handling agents arranging renoms, BI’s / handover invoices, T1 discharge and create records to ensure customs clearance is completed. You will also conduct bond checks and process CASS invoices.

Working closely with the warehouse and the import customer service team and overseas offices resolve issues efficiently, track and trace shipments, milestone updates and archiving documents.

You will be communicating with a wide range of both external customers, agents as well as internal stakeholders, so strong and confident communication both verbal and written is a must.

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

Airfreight experience is essential for this position, you must be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of import and have previous experience working with Cargo wise. Excellent time management and organisational skills is important for this role with the ability to problem solve and build and maintain customer relationships.
