YOUR ROLE

 

We have an exciting opportunity for a site-based Operations Administrator to join our team based in Stanford-le-Hope, London Gateway Port. In this pivotal role you will be focused on supporting the Warehouse Shift Managers in achieving operational targets and high levels of customer service. If you have previously worked within logistics or warehousing, this could be the perfect role for you!

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

 

Reporting into the Administration Supervisor you will:

 

 

  • Answer queries, bookings and investigate inventory for customers.
  • Assist in the review and implementation of supply chain policies, practices, and programs to meet organizational, operations and management needs.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Identify process improvements to improve quality of service and cost.
  • Ensure all customers stock records are maintained on a timely and accurate basis.
  • Ensure all system-based activities for stock movements, VAS and transport operations are completed in a timely manner and to required standard.
  • Ensure that local Health and Safety policies and procedures are followed to ensure own safety and the safety of others.
  • Coordinate drivers onto bays & distribute workload to warehouse staff.
  • Inventory checks in the warehouse.
  • Place orders into the system, prepare paperwork for inbound and outbound.
  • Run weekly reports, monitor inbox.

 

You must be able to work Monday to Friday 06:00-14:00/14:00-22:00 (rotational).

 

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a basic knowledge and understanding of logistics operations, have experience of using the WMS system and ideally come with an advanced knowledge of Excel, have the ability to work to strict deadlines and have high attention to detail.  You will be a strong communicator and will feel confident in communicating with people at all levels, both verbally and in writing. You will be able to create and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
