YOUR ROLE

 

The Microsoft 365 and Mergers & Acquisition Architect is responsible for designing and implementing Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Exchange on-prem, SMTP relays, tenant migration tools (Quest ODM, BitTitan) and directory synchronization tools (Quest DirSync) solutions, to support the integration of companies acquired by CEVA, and standardize and keep the infrastructure services up to date, at the state of the art and secured.

 

On M&A projects, the person prepares and drives the execution of the tenant user and data migration using the user synchronization and data migration tools and troubleshoot and fix the incidents and problems related to the migration.

 

The person is assisted by, and operationally manages, the resources detached from M365 Operations team on the projects, currently 4 resources based in CEVA IT Shared Service Center in Makati in Manila. The number of resources is variable based on ongoing projects. The person works in coordination with project managers. The person works closely with acquired companies M365 team, identity teams (AD, HR IT, IAM), cybersecurity and Service Now teams. The person is -not- responsible for minor changes and incident management not linked to projects, as they are managed by the M365 Operations team, but can be involved on request on critical or complex incidents.

 

This role requires a deep understanding of both on-premises Exchange and cloud-based Microsoft 365 technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. The required candidate will possess advanced technical experience, predominantly focussed on Microsoft 365 and display a high level of collaborative skills and operational understanding.

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

 

1.        Design and implement scalable and cost-effective solutions that meet organizational, technical and security requirements
2.        Prepares and drive the execution of the tenant user and data migration using the user synchronization and data migration tools and troubleshoot and fix the incidents and problems related to the migration
3.        Assess and anticipate impacts related to the tenant user and data migration
4.        Operationally manage the resources detached from M365 Operations team on the projects, currently 4 resources based in CEVA IT Shared Service Center in Makati in Manila, including task definition, dispatch and quality control
5.        Coordinate with acquired companies M365 team, identity teams (AD, HR IT, IAM), cybersecurity and Service Now teams
6.        Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools
7.        Define standards, suggest and implement improvements 
8.        Analyse Microsoft changes impacts, and implements the necessary changes to keep the infrastructure services up and running, up to date, at the state of the art and secured
9.        Perform solution assessments using Microsoft Services Hub Self-Service Assessments, prioritize and suggest improvements, implement improvements
10.        Create detailed documentation including solution specification, architecture, configuration, operating guides and procedures
11.        Provide comprehensive handover documentation to the operational team for ongoing management
12.        Ensure solutions comply with data protection regulations and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
13.        Support disaster recovery planning and testing activities as needed.
14.        Provide escalation support from Ops team on critical and complex incidents

 

These activities relates to the team services scope : Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Exchange on-prem, SMTP relays, tenant migration tools and directory synchronization tools, and related Service Desk and Service Now request forms and procedures.

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field 
  • At least 3 years of experience in Microsoft 365 and Exchange services management, including both on-premises and cloud environments
  • 7 years’ experience in managing the lifecycle of infrastructure architectures.
  • Expertise in Microsoft 365 services.
  • Expertise in Exchange on-prem services.
  • Experience with Entra ID.
  • Experience with SMTP relays.
  • Understanding of data privacy and protection, disaster recovery, and business continuity principles.
  • Knowledge of automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to engage with supplier on incident and problem escalation
  • Excellent written and verbal English

 

Desirable:

 

  • Master’s degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in infrastructure design and implementation
  • Experience on large scale tenant migration
  • Experience with tenant migration tools.
  • Experience with directory synchronization tools, IAM tools and identity lifecycle management processes.
  • Experience with data analytics (Power Query/BI, data analytics libraries).
  • Ability to manage stress well under difficult situations and when dealing with production issues and project deadline
