Duty Officer

This new activity enables us to offer a comprehensive range of services, thus reenforcing our strategic position with our global customers.


Already equipped with a fleet of 6x long-haul aircraft (4x A330-200F and 2x B777F), CMA CGM AIR CARGO is on an ambitious mission to continue to grow its current fleet with the acquisition of new freighters.

CMA CGM AIR CARGO has already confirmed orders for 4x Airbus A350 freighters and will become the world’s first airline to launch and operate this state of the art cargo aircraft. 

As part of its development, CMA CGM AIR CARGO is looking for Duty Officers for its Operations Control Center (OCC). Several positions available.



1. Participate in the launch of the CMA CGM AIR CARGO airline in the Operations Control Center perimeter : 

  • Test and challenge the procedures and settings of the systems deployed in the OCC, suggest alternative solutions if necessary ;
  • Participate and support the OCC in the deployment of new business solutions ;
  • Collaborate with Flight Ops Engineering on a daily basis, in the support provided to the OCC as well as in the context of line studies.


2. Ensure Operations Control and Flight Dispatch 24/7 : 

To promote a culture focused on flight safety, business performance and on time performance.

  • Operations Control : 

             -   Control the execution of the flight schedule and ensure the flight watch  ;

             -   Anticipate, manage and minimize the impact of operational irregularities ;

             -   Ensure coordination and operational communication internally and externally. 


  • Dispatch : 

            -    Airport and enroute weather study ; 

            -    NOTAMs study ; 

            -    Consideration of technical condition of aircraft ; 

            -    Calculation of take-off and landing performances ; 

            -    Flight plan calculation and route optimization ; 

            -    ATC flight plan filing ; 

            -    Creation of the electronic flight file ; 

            -    Flight crew briefing when necessary.


Graduated from an aeronautical training organization (Dispatch licencing organisation, French ENAC, Horizons Academy, ESMA or equivalent), holder of a theoretical Airline Transport Pilot License, an air traffic controller or meteorologist qualification, you must have acquired at least 3 years experience in a Duty Officer or Dispatch position (ETOPS would be a plus). 

You have a taste for operations and teamwork. Your analytical skills, your ability to work under time pressure, your curiosity, your rigor and your tenacity will enable you to make the best decisions and contribute to the success of our flight operations.
The positions are based in Marseille.
