Internship - Flight Operations Engineer

Already equipped with a fleet of 6x long-haul aircraft (4x A330-200F and 2x B777F), CMA CGM AIR CARGO is on an ambitious mission to continue to grow its current fleet with the acquisition of new freighters.  

CMA CGM AIR CARGO has already confirmed orders for 4x Airbus A350 freighters and will become the world’s first airline to launch and operate this state-of-the-art cargo aircraft.   

As part of its development, CMA CGM Air Cargo is looking for an intern to join the engineering and design department.  

 

JOB DESCRIPTION : 

 

Within the engineering department, you will assist the teams in their daily tasks. In collaboration with other departments within the company, your main missions will be: 

  • Implementing the automation of aircraft performance monitoring (Perf Factor). 

  • Automating the procedure for updating Perf Factor values in the aircraft and related software. 

  • Analyzing the evolution of the Perf Factor, deducing the causes, and proposing an interpretation of future trends. 

 

In addition to your main project, you will participate in the Fuel Efficiency project to: 

  • Monitor, ensure, and optimize the reporting of fuel consumption data regarding CO2 emissions. 

  • Participate in the analysis and implementation of best practices to improve fuel consumption. 

  • Analyze and respond to pilots' feedback regarding fuel-related matters. 

  • Any other activity beyond those listed may be assigned to the collaborator within the scope of their role, depending on the daily needs of the engineering department: line studies, pilot software administration, technical studies, ongoing projects, etc. 

 

PROFILE AND SKILLS : 

 

Student at an aeronautical engineering school. 

You are autonomous, reactive, proactive, and dynamic. 

 

CONDITIONS :  

 

  • 6 month internship. 

  • The start date is planned between February and March 2024, and could potentially be adjusted based on your availability. 

  • Position based in Marseille.
