YOUR ROLE

 

As a Tax Analyst, you will play an important role in our finance department, contributing to our global tax strategy and ensuring compliance with international tax regulations. You will be responsible for analyzing and optimizing our tax processes, as well as providing valuable insights to support informed decision-making.You will work closely with tax experts and finance specialists to support our tax reporting and compliance initiatives. You will be based at the HQ in Marseille and be part of the Global Tax Department. You will report directly into the Global head of tax reporting.

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

 

Manage Monthly Tax Package for Financial Closures:

    - Calculate current and deferred tax provisions in accordance with IAS 12 standards.

    - Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess tax implications of business transactions.

    - Prepare detailed tax reconciliations and documentation for financial statements.

    - Review tax accounts and balances, identifying risks and optimization opportunities.

    - Coordinate with various departments to gather and reconcile financial data, including revenue, expenses, and accruals.

    - Prepare journal entries and adjustments as necessary to reflect accurate financial results.

    - Conduct thorough analysis of financial statements to identify variances and investigate discrepancies.

 

KPI Reporting:

    - Develop and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to quality of tax datas

    - Generate periodic reports to track tax-related metrics, including effective tax rate, tax provision accuracy, and compliance status.

    - Analyze KPI data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.

    - Present KPI findings to senior management, providing actionable insights to drive decision-making and strategic initiatives.

    - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align tax KPIs with overall corporate objectives and performance goals

 

Tax Compliance and Reporting Support:

   - Collaborate with the tax department to ensure accurate and timely preparation of tax provisions and related disclosures.

   - Assist in gathering financial data and documentation for tax compliance purposes, including tax returns and filings.

   - Provide support during tax audits and inquiries, preparing schedules and documentation as requested by tax authorities.

   - Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and identify tax planning opportunities.

 

Assist in Financial Consolidation:

   - Support the consolidation process for multiple entities or business units, ensuring accuracy and consistency of the datas across financial statements.

   - Coordinate with subsidiary accounting teams to collect, analyse and validate financial information for consolidation purposes.

  

   - Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements and related disclosures in accordance with applicable accounting standards


WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

  • Master or university degree in accounting/finance, or relevant Educational background. Fluent French and English
  • 5 years of experience with aprevious tax accounting roles in international environment
  • Strong understanding of tax principles and regulations, with a focus on corporate taxation.
  • Proficiency in accounting principles and practices, including financial statement analysis.
  • Familiarity with international tax concepts, transfer pricing, and tax treaties.
  • Knowledge of tax software and tools, such as Excel, Onestream, or other ERP systems.
