YOUR ROLE

 

We’re seeking a Business Analyst, based at our Truganina VIC office, to support both internal and external customers with all aspects of commercial activities for the Vehicle Logistics operation. The role will primarily focus on operational KPIs, business development, costing, and modeling for new and existing customers.


WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?


Specifically, you will:

 

  • Design and maintain operational cost models for new business opportunities. This includes assumptions of utilisation, routes, trucking capacity, and rates
  • Analyse customer profitability, address scope creep, and identify revenue leakage and out-of-scope requirements to enhance overall profitability
  • Present and communicate cost models and operational insights effectively to customers, supporting account managers and business development managers during negotiations and client interactions
  • Support and analyse the network business, focusing on capacity utilisation and the impact of new business or operational changes on the network
  • Provide insightful analysis to support commercial and operational decisions, focusing on volumes, revenue generation, benchmarking, and other key performance metrics(KPI's)
  • Understand and maintain BI tools.


WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? 
 

Our ideal candidate has solid experience gained in a business analysis role within a logistics or transport team or setting.


You should also have:

 

  • Tertiary qualification in accounting, business, engineering or a related field
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel and ability to work effectively with data to infer, extract and translate into actionable insights
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues and implement effective solutions
  • Sound communication, time management and relationship management skills.

 

In addition to providing proof of work rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to complete a national police check.
