Driver and Equipment Coordinator | Truganina VIC

YOUR ROLE


The Driver and Equipment Coordinator in our Ground Transport division is responsible for the scheduling, repair and maintenance of CEVA Prime Movers to ensure that equipment is kept to an optimal standard and that CEVA is maximising profitability.

 

You’ll also assist with the management of CEVA drivers to enhance efficiency and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. The role will assist with the planning and implementation of projects related to CEVA drivers and equipment.


WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?


Specifically, you will:

 

  • Manage driver rosters and work schedules, ensuring compliance with CoR and fatigue management regulations
  • Liaise with manufacturers and relevant suppliers to ensure equipment is maintained within the required specification. This will include scheduling maintenance and repairs and maintaining a record of all equipment
  • Payroll management, including reviewing and approving timesheets, and reviewing pay queries and discrepancies
  • Schedule and (at times) delivering training and toolbox meetings for drivers
  • Manage the administration of driver training records and ensure that these always remain current
  • Assist ad-hoc with the recruitment, training and assessment of drivers.


WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? 

Our ideal candidate has experience in an operations role within the transport or 3PL sector, as well as:

 

  • Intermediate skills in MS Office applications, and capable of learning new systems and working with technologies generally
  • Strong written and verbal communication, time management and customer service skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems, know when to seek advice, suggest solutions or escalate as required
  • Bonus: understanding of basic fatigue management, chain of responsibility, NHVR.

 

In addition to providing proof of work rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to undergo a medical assessment and national police check.
