YOUR ROLE
We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Human Resources Business Partner to join our national HR team, supporting leaders across Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.
Based at our Truganina VIC Head Office, or alternatively from our Melbourne Airport office with regular anchor days at Truganina, this role provides high-impact, business-aligned HR advice across the full employee lifecycle. You will coach leaders, manage employee relations matters, drive people initiatives and support CEVA’s growth through trusted partnerships and sound HR governance.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Specifically, you will:
- Provide strategic and operational HR support to leaders, across a broad client group
- Lead or support the management of employee and industrial relations matters, including investigations and enterprise bargaining
- Deliver coaching and guidance to leaders on performance management, employee engagement, development and conduct
- Manage elements of the employee lifecycle including onboarding, workforce planning and restructure activity
- Partner with HR centres of excellence (C&B, Talent, L&D) to deliver and embed HR programs
- Contribute to people-related projects, business proposals and change programs
- Build leadership capability through formal training, informal coaching and policy guidance
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation, CEVA policies and relevant industrial instruments.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Our ideal candidate is a confident and resilient HR professional with deep generalist experience and strong employee relations expertise. You will also have:
- Degree in HR, Business, or Industrial Relations
- Solid experience in a HR generalist role, ideally gained in operational, fast-paced environments
- Proven ability to coach and influence leaders across a complex, multi-site workforce
- Demonstrated experience engaging with union stakeholders and applying enterprise agreement provisions in practice
- Strong understanding of the Fair Work Act, Modern Awards and NES
- High-level interpersonal, conflict resolution and project management skills
- A collaborative, solutions-focused style with sound commercial judgement.
In addition to providing proof of work rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to undergo a medical assessment and national police check.
