Transport Compliance Advisor | Truganina VIC

YOUR ROLE


As a Transport Compliance Advisor at CEVA Logistics, you'll ensure compliance with all transport-related legislation and standards. Based from our offices at Truganina VIC, the role involves monitoring regulatory changes, managing training and compliance audits, and leading safety initiatives across various CEVA operations. Regular travel within the state and occasionally interstate is required.


WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?


Specifically, you will:
 

 

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) legislation and ensure CEVA's operations are fully compliant
  • Monitor changes in legislation and external accreditations, such as the National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme (NHVAS)
  • Support the analysis of training needs, compilation of training plans, and delivery of training sessions
  • Lead transport-related work streams for new sites and contract projects
  • Ensure compliance in CEVA documentation and physical operations including loading, unloading, load restraint, and vehicle maintenance
  • Conduct Incident Cause Analysis Method (ICAM) investigations and other transport-related training sessions
  • Manage audit schedules and conduct audits of CEVA sites and carriers
  • Produce monthly transport governance reports for CEVA operations, carriers, and contractors.


WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? 


Our ideal candidate has proven experience in the transport operations, compliance and/or training together with:
 

 

  • Relevant qualification/s in CoR, fatigue and mass management, load restraint
  • Proven experience in applying CoR legislation to achieve compliance outcomes
  • Proficient in MS Office, with excellent written and oral presentation skills
  • Strong training and coaching abilities
  • Valid driver licence and own vehicle (travel reimbursed per km)
  • Bonus: Certified ICAM Lead Investigator or equivalent.


In addition to providing proof of work rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to undergo a medical assessment and national police check.
