This role is based in Italy, France or Spain.

 

The Agile Transformation Senior Manager in the IT department dedicated to ground transportation at CEVA is responsible for driving the adoption and implementation of agile methodologies across the department.

This role involves developing and promoting the use of agile practices, defining and building the necessary tooling to support agile software engineering and delivery, particularly using Atlassian Jira, and ensuring consistent agile practices across the various software factories within the IT department.

The Agile Transformation Lead will work closely with teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation, ultimately enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of software development and delivery processes.

 

> Key Accountabilities 

 

1. Tooling Platform Setup & Adoption: Define and build the necessary tooling to support software engineering and agile and waterfall delivery, using Atlassian Jira suite
2. Driving Agile Adoption: Lead the adoption and implementation of agile methodologies across the IT department, ensuring that all teams understand and effectively use agile practices
3. Consistency in Practices: Coordinate and ensure consistent agile practices across the various software factories within the IT department
4. Change Management: Manage organizational change and drive the adoption of new practices and tools across different teams and departments
5. Performance Monitoring: Monitor and measure the performance of software engineering & delivery, by providing metrics and KPI’s in partnership with the CoE and Global PMO teams on development cycle time, resource capacity use, etc.

 

> Knowledge, Experience & Skills

 

Experience

▪ Bachelor’s or Master’s in information technology

▪ Agile coach or scrum master, at least 1 year
▪ Project delivery & programme management at scale in the transportation & logistics industry

Desirable: 

▪ Leadership and Coaching: Strong leadership skills to guide and mentor teams. This includes the ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation
▪ Software engineering practices within a 3/4PL provider

 

Specialist knowlegde & Skills

▪ Tool Proficiency: Expertise in agile tools, particularly Atlassian Jira, to support agile software engineering and delivery
▪ Agile Methodologies: A deep understanding of various agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe. This includes the ability to tailor these methodologies to fit the specific needs of the organization
▪ Change Management: Experience in managing organizational change and driving the adoption of new practices and tools across different teams and departments

Desirable:
▪ Technical Knowledge: A solid understanding of software development processes and the ability to work closely with technical teams to ensure the successful implementation of agile practices
▪ Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address challenges that may arise during the transformation process
 

Interpersonal & Communications Skills

▪ Fluent English
▪ Proven ability to lead change in an international and multi-cultural environment

▪ French, Spanish or Portuguese considered a plus
