We have an exciting opportunity for a highly focused and meticulous Quality Manager to join our busy operation in Carol Stream, IL, where you will develop and maintain industry leading operational standards. This position is responsible for coordinating and professionally managing the safety performance, compliance and program management field contracts in a distribution/warehousing facility.  The Quality Manager must also facilitate training to all levels of employees and maintain quality performance objectives and assist in cost control programs.   




  • Reporting into the Site Group Manager, you will provide technical support and advice on quality standards and regulatory guidance by promoting best practice and continuous improvement approaches based on LEAN principles and manage quality practices throughout site-based operations.  

  • Communicate with contract management staff concerning loading & material issues or status, including immediately addressing issues of concerns.  

  • Responsible for development/monitoring of KPI’s & implementing continuous improvement opportunities  

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for quality and safety standards.  

  • Support new business implementation & scope changes.  Including participating in the orientation of new contracts and mentoring new Quality/Risk Managers.  

  • Responsible for facilitating investigation, required reporting, and corrective action development for serious quality or risk issues accessing company resources as appropriate & facilitates completion of Root Cause Analyses.  

  • Ensure OHSA compliance.  

  • Develop & perform training programs to meet company-training objectives.   

  • Mind-set that looks to create a high-performance culture through coaching and development whilst implementing sustainable improvements that drive business performance.  

  • Flexibility in work hours to provide supervision for direct and indirect reports/employees. Availability to work on Saturday and Sunday based on business demands and during peak business times.  

  • Enforce and follow company policies and procedures including standard operating procedures and safety.

  • Bachelor’s degree in transportation or related field. Master’s Degree preferred.  

  • Five years’ experience in a supply chain, transportation, logistics or related field; Seven to ten years preferred.   

  • Experience operating as a Quality Manager or Quality Site Lead within a large logistics or warehousing environment. 

  • Two years’ experience in OSHA regulations and State regulations. 

  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications and accurate typing and/or data entry skills.  

  • Languages and Communication Skills. Must be able to effectively and clearly communicate simple instructions in front of an audience 

  • Characteristics: Problem solving skills and ability to deal with very difficult concepts and complex variables and highly volatile time constraints.  

  • Ability to develop programs to reduce accidents and injuries in a material-handling environment. Must be able to train a large number of employees
