Hourly Pay Range: $22.27 - $31.80

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

  • Most of the Operations Specialist’s available work hours are spent on the floor in his or her assigned area(s) of responsibility. The Operations Specialist’s main objective is to ensure a continuous workflow by moving associates to the work, or the work to the associates
  • Interface directly with our clients, sales team, and customer service team via phone or email in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Ensure there are no idle associates by moving people to where the work is and balancing labor in assigned area of responsibility. Cooperates with other departments to share labor.
  • Understand the technical aspects of assigned area to better trouble-shoot workflow issues.
  • Make recommendations to improve efficiency and suggest Continuous Improvement (CI) and LEAN initiatives.
  • Be willing and able to work with Inbound, Outbound, and ISC.
  • Perform clerical tasks in preparation of Inbound and Outbound functions.
  • Ensure that associates are at their workstations and/or work areas at their assigned at their start and stop times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor and/or Manager as needed, or conditions change in the warehouse.
  • Re-enforce the importance of inventory integrity, housekeeping, and safety with all associates.

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Education:  High School or Equivalent Certification
  • Experience:  4 years’ experience in a distribution/warehouse environment preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to work overtime dictated by business needs
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • LEAN / Six Sigma experience preferred
  • No disciplinary action in the prior 6 months
  • 5 or fewer attendance points

 

Physical Demands:

 

  • While performing the duties of this job the employee will be required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms.
  • This position may be required to stoop, kneel, or crouch as it relates to product handling and distribution, and must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • This position will be regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts.
  • This position will be exposed to extreme heat and extreme cold including climates consistent with outside weather conditions.
  • This position may be required to climb ladders
