Account Coordinator

Summary:  Responsible for processing inbound and outbound international shipments, including air, ocean, and ground transportation. Also responsible for assisting with duties related to document preparation and traffic coordination required to correctly process consolidations in a cost-efficient manner and within defined standards.  Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values.

 

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain excellent service to internal and external customers at all times
  • Receive, review, and process inbound and outbound documentation
  • Liaise with internal customers (CEVA Air & Ocean) and coordinate pickups and deliveries with the dispatch team.
  • Work with warehouse team to ensure all shipments are checked in, handled, and checked out properly
  • Oversee the security screening of all relevant export shipments
  • Contact vendors and customers regarding specific shipments, which would include arrival times, pending delays or missing information.
  • Follow up with transportation providers to confirm pickup or delivery times
  • Maintain records of communications
  • Enter all relevant data for the shipments into the appropriate company system. 
  • Investigate any delays and notify the supervisor or manager.
  • Advise supervisor of any problems or irregularities discovered within assigned transactions.
  • Provide excellent and timely customer service by informing clients of the status of their shipments. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:   

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret highly complex regulations and procedures and respond to common inquiries or complaints. Ability to analyze complex problems and develops alternative solutions.
  • Capable of communicating and interacting effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds and ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of customers and employees.
  • PC literate. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using units of U.S. currency, weight, volume and distance measurements.
  • Knowledge of Canadian customs regulations and in-bond management.
  • Manages complex or emotional customer situations promptly and professionally, meeting commitments for service and assistance.
  • Contributes to building a positive team spirit and puts success of team above own interests.
  • Consistently at work and on time.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.

 

Minimum:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum two years related experience.

 

Preferred:

    • Bachelor’s Degree.
    • Four years industry experience.
