Linehaul Coordinator
Manages carrier relations mailbox for request for rate quotes, tracking request, POD request, and detention notification and exception management. Monitors pickup and delivery tracking boards for carrier compliance to scheduled pickup and delivery expectations. Also responsible for monitoring security protocols, cargo limits of liability compliance, transit times, trailer pools and validation and notification processes for Truck Ordered Not used (TONU) charges and detention charges. Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values.
Typical Responsibilities:
- Advise customers, sales personnel and station management of the status of all shipments.
- Assign carriers to available third-party movements as directed.
- Knowledgeable of industry standard full truckload operation procedures to include general operations aspects, transit times and third-party expectations.
- Follow up on all shipments tendered to the company and ensure that service requirements are being met. Communicate with third party carriers to ensure that customer expectations are being met.
- Follow up on and identify company needs for third party coverage needs.
- Communicate with operations and management personnel regarding information on exception management and shipments, which require special training.
- Respond to customer’s requests for status of shipments, routings, ‘Proof of Delivery’, charges or other inquiries.
- Assist customer service in the preparation of quotes and bid proposals.

Requirements:
- PC Literate. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, web-based and job specific software applications.
- Strong analytical skills
- Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Good phone etiquette
Minimum:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1 year transportation or logistics field experience.
Preferred:
- Some form of higher education.
- 1 year related to full truckload or dispatch.
- General industry knowledge.
