YOUR ROLE
Are you known for your management skills? Are you passionate about superior operational performance? If so, we have an opportunity that would allow you to oversee accounts and lead supporting staff to achieve customer requirements.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
- Manage the overall execution of accounts at an operations management level, carrying out specific requirements as documented in the customer SOP. Oversee SOP, maintenance and ensure operational best practices in line with customer requirements. Serve as key contact point of contact for customer logistics and internal stakeholders.
- Work with CEVA B2B and IS&S Support teams and GTN to troubleshoot and provide business support for resolution to any systems issue.
- Manage essential account documentation with current information and ensure that it is collated and stored, readily accessible to all team members. Audit system for accuracy and completeness of data and information based on booking, receiving and on-hand reports created in GT Nexus by origin operations.
- Drive operational excellence and improvement with all customer/vendor partners through regularly scheduled reviews. Implement solutions to address and correct identified issues pro-actively.
- Manage staff to ensure completion of SOP compliance, scheduled tasks and responsibilities key to account operations.
- Ensure that account billing both internal and customer facing is carried out in a timely, accurate, and complete manner. Prepare performance data for monthly reporting requirements and QBR meetings. Review weekly utilization/optimization reports to ensure origin teams are meeting expectations.
- Power BI Development & Reporting:
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that track key performance indicators (KPIs) for logistics operations, including warehouse performance, inventory management, order fulfillment, and transportation costs.
- Leverage Power BI’s DAX and Power Query to build complex measures, calculated columns, and efficient data models.
- Data Extraction & Management:
- Write and optimize SQL queries to extract data from various operational systems (WMS, TMS, ERP, etc.) to support logistics analysis and reporting needs.
- Perform data cleansing, validation, and transformation to ensure accurate, high-quality data for reporting and analysis.
- Work with large datasets to generate detailed reports on inventory levels, transportation costs, customer service performance, and other logistics-related metrics.
- Excel Analysis:
- Utilize Excel to perform advanced data analysis, pivot table creation, and financial modeling to support decision-making.
- Expert knowledge of complex formulas, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, and array functions is essential.
- Business Intelligence & Data Visualization:
- Leverage your expertise in Power BI and Excel to visualize complex logistics data in a way that is easy for non-technical stakeholders to understand and act upon.
- Provide actionable insights on logistics performance, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement in areas like warehouse operations, shipping, delivery times, and inventory optimization.
- Strategic Decision Support:
- Provide decision-makers with data-driven insights and recommendations on logistics strategies such as route optimization, warehouse layout, labor forecasting, and vendor negotiations.
- Prepare regular and ad-hoc analytical reports for senior management to assist in strategic planning and operational efficiency improvements.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Manage, mentor, and coach a diverse team of analysts, fostering a high-performance culture and individual growth.
- Provide guidance on complex problem-solving and analysis to ensure the team is equipped to meet business needs.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide actionable feedback to team members to support their career development.
- Risk Management and Compliance:
- Ensure all operations and analytical practices are compliant with internal policies, industry standards, and regulations.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks related to team performance, project delivery, and data security.
- Change Management:
- Lead the team through organizational changes, ensuring smooth transitions by effectively managing and communicating any changes in processes, tools, or objectives.
- Ensure that the team adapts quickly to new tools, methodologies, and business priorities.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Education and Experience: BA/BS in business, finance, or MIS – SC management or logistics. Eight to ten years strong working knowledge of international transportation & logistics. Experience with process mapping, definition and documentation (via projects, etc.) Comprehensive knowledge of transportation modes, tariffs, and systems. Six Sigma quality process training, preferred. Strong understanding of export and import regulations, preferred.
- Skills: Advanced level expertise with Microsoft Excel, Access and Visio. Automate reporting processes using Power BI's data refresh and alerting capabilities to ensure real-time, accurate business intelligence. Build and maintain Access databases for tracking logistics data, including inventory management, order tracking, and transportation performance. Create custom queries and reports within Access to meet business needs. Ensure integration between Access databases and other systems to provide seamless data flow and insights.
- Characteristics: Well-developed analytic skills. Well-organized, self-starter and highly detail oriented. Excellent interpersonal, organizational and both written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrable project management experience.
