VIE Sales and Marketing Coordinator- Muscat

YOUR ROLE 

 

Based in Muscat, Oman, you will report directly to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and support the local commercial organization in driving sales performance and business development.

 

In a small but fast-paced and demanding environment, you will play a key role in monitoring commercial KPIs, supporting digital sales initiatives, and providing strategic market insights. You will act as a central point of coordination between sales teams, management, and regional stakeholders to enhance performance and support decision-making.

 

This role offers strong exposure to commercial operations, performance management, and strategic analysis within the shipping industry.

 

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO? 

 

You will support the Regional Office and local commercial teams in monitoring performance, driving business development, and strengthening market intelligence across Oman.
 

A. Sales Performance & KPI Monitoring

  • Monitor, analyze, and track commercial KPIs across Oman trade activities
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency, including proper input from sales teams
  • Take ownership of KPI follow-up and performance tracking
  • Provide detailed performance analysis by customer, trade lane, and market segment
  • Deliver actionable recommendations to improve commercial performance

 

B. Digital Sales & SpotOn Performance

  • Drive the adoption and commercial use of the SpotOn platform
  • Monitor and analyze digital KPIs such as booking performance, active users, conversion rates, and repeat business
  • Support sales teams in improving digital engagement and conversion
  • Contribute to the development of digital sales strategies

 

C. Market Analysis & Business Development

  • Conduct market studies to identify new business opportunities and growth potential
  • Analyze customer trends and market dynamics within the region
  • Monitor key infrastructure, logistics, and industrial projects
  • Provide insights to support strategic positioning and commercial decisions

 

D. Sales Quality & Process Monitoring

  • Oversee sales quality processes through regular system checks
  • Monitor customer visits, sales calls, leads management, and opportunity tracking
  • Ensure compliance with internal sales processes and data quality standards
  • Follow up on commercial action plans and ensure timely execution

 

E. Reporting & Strategic Support

  • Prepare presentations, dashboards, and management reports for internal stakeholders
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting aligned with company standards
  • Support management with strategic analyses and business reviews
  • Act as a key point of contact for commercial data and insights

 

F. Coordination & Cross-functional Support

  • Work closely with the CCO, sales teams, and Head Office
  • Coordinate with internal departments (logistics, documentation, operations)
  • Ensure smooth communication and alignment across stakeholders
  • Contribute to a dynamic and collaborative team environment

 

 

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR? 

 

In accordance with the provisions of Article L122-1 of the National Service Code, only candidates aged 18 to 28 and European nationals are eligible for this mission offered as a VIE.
 
  • Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in sales, marketing, business analysis, or related roles
  • Strong interest in shipping, logistics, or commercial operations
  • Solid analytical skills with a strong focus on KPIs and performance tracking
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and data tools (e.g., QlikSense or similar)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work in a challenging, fast-paced, and high-responsibility environment
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proactive mindset, curiosity, and strong ownership
  • Comfortable interacting with senior stakeholders
  • Team player with strong collaboration skills
  • Fluent in English (French is a plus)
