YOUR ROLE

Are you an analytical wonder who thinks in possibilities? And do you ensure that with the help of your analyses and models, we can plan and steer the operation even better?

As a Logistics Data Engineer, you create models and dashboards to better steer the future and to review our performances and learn from them. With your models, you provide insights to your colleagues, the logistics operation, and management into opportunities, risks, and improvements in existing processes. Additionally, you take into account the environment in which you work and the desires, needs, and agreements with our client.

In this context, you advise on priorities and ensure the availability of tools for short- and long-term steering. For example, using your model and dashboard, you enable Control Room employees to steer the daily operation based on objective figures. Currently, we mainly work with Excel, but we want to implement improvements, and you enjoy implementing a new system and working with it.

You involve the right people in your projects to achieve the best results. You are the specialist in your field but work with colleagues in the Control Room from your location in Nieuwegein. Additionally, you will be present at our location in Nijmegen once a week. You report to the Operations Support Manager.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Processing structured or unstructured data into insights for both existing processes and opportunities to be exploited;
  • Coding the models and (having them) visualized discoveries and predictions in, among others, a user dashboard to make everything user-friendly;
  • Setting up and maintaining dashboards that highlight KPIs, ratios, and bottlenecks;
  • Translating data from these dashboards and models into useful information for direct colleagues, the logistics operation, and/or management;
  • Researching, initiating, and elaborating on innovations and/or improvements to existing models and analysis tools;
  • Regularly consulting with internal and external stakeholders for your analyses.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • HBO-level education and thinking;
  • Minimum of 1 year of work experience in data analytics or planning, preferably in a logistics environment;
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel;
  • Affinity with Tableau is a plus;
  • Good communication skills and proficiency in Dutch and English, both written and spoken;
  • Full-time availability.

WHAT DO WE OFFER YOU?

At CEVA Logistics, there are plenty of opportunities to bring out the best in yourself and your career. In addition to a dynamic environment where we achieve our goals together at a high pace and in a results-oriented manner, we offer a position with room for fun and connection.   • A one-year contract with the prospect of a permanent position;
  • 25 vacation days, 5 ADV days, and the possibility to buy or sell extra leave;
  • Profit sharing of up to 3% with positive company results;
  • Good pension scheme and 8% holiday allowance;
  • Travel allowance or NS Business Card;
  • Possibility to take out collective (health) insurance with a discount;
