YOUR ROLE
As an Assistant Controller, you are responsible for collecting, processing, and providing financial information. You support the Finance Manager in preparing financial reports and analyses. You contribute to a reliable financial administration and provide advice on improvements based on your insights.
You will be part of the BNL Ground Finance team, led by a Finance Manager. This is a knowledgeable, yet informal and driven team. Together, you ensure optimal service and make a real impact. You will join an organization that is constantly evolving, meaning a dynamic and fast-changing environment.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the preparation of financial and periodic reports such as budgets, forecasts, and monthly business reviews;
- Developing and managing procedures and systems to measure, analyze, and report financial and operational results;
- Analyzing and identifying deviations while advising on financial and operational improvements;
- Participating in and leading projects aimed at improving existing processes;
- Supporting revenue & cost audits and margin analyses.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
In addition to a highly accurate and analytical approach, you are communicative and proactive! With your critical and forward-thinking mindset, you can anticipate the impact of certain actions and contribute ideas for solutions. You thrive in a dynamic environment and can quickly coordinate with relevant stakeholders. As an advisor, you can effectively justify your viewpoints. Additionally, you bring the following knowledge and experience:
• A completed HBO degree in Business Economics/Finance;
• Experience in a financial role, preferably in a logistics environment (a plus);
• Excellent command of both Dutch and English, both written and spoken;
• Strong proficiency in automated information systems and MS Office, particularly Excel.
