YOUR ROLE 

We are looking for an Administrative Assistant for the transport department at our warehouse campus in Roosendaal. In this role, you will be responsible for performing various transport-related tasks. You will handle processing in the warehouse management system, maintain contact with carriers, and ensure that shipments are picked up on time. In this position, you will have frequent communication with various carriers that the company collaborates with. You will work closely with the expedition and transport departments. 

 

WHAT WILL YOU DO? 

You will be part of our Operations team at one of our sites in Roosendaal. The client you will be working for is in the fashion industry. The team is supervised by the Contract Supervisor. You will collaborate closely with the expedition and transport departments as well as your colleagues in the warehouse. Together, you will strive for optimal service delivery and contribute to a workplace where every employee feels comfortable and has the opportunity to develop. Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Entering, verifying, and monitoring bookings. 

  • Creating, handling, and verifying CMR and T1 documentation. 

  • Communicating physically and digitally with carriers. 

  • Following up on Value Added Service orders as requested by the customer. 

  • Monitoring progress and taking appropriate action if necessary. 

 

You will work flexible shifts, one week from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM and the next week from 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM. You will also work every other Saturday and receive a shift allowance for this. 

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? 

As an Administrative Assistant in Transport, you are accurate and flexible. Your communication skills enable you to interact with various people, ensuring clear collaboration with your colleagues. You are ambitious, results-oriented, and have an open personality. To excel in this role, you should have the following qualifications and experience: 

  • A relevant completed education at the vocational level (MBO). 

  • 1 to 5 years of work experience in logistics or transport. 

  • Excellent command of both Dutch and English, both spoken and written. 

  • Advanced experience with MS Excel and MS Word.
