YOUR ROLE

We are seeking an enthusiastic Contract Manager to strengthen our team at our transportation hub in Roosendaal. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing transportation contracts for a globally leading fashion company, for which CEVA Logistics manages the end-to-end transport operations across Europe. As a Contract Manager, you will be commercially, operationally, and financially accountable for managing transportation contracts. Your primary goal will be to ensure that all transportation services meet client expectations and contractual agreements, driving high levels of customer satisfaction. As the ultimate account owner, you will continuously improve transport operations and service delivery. You will manage the P&L and work closely with the client to deepen the relationship, enhance services, and extend and expand contracts. With your strategic mindset, you will formulate and translate strategic goals into actionable plans for the client.

You will play a critical role in overseeing the integration of a transportation management system (TMS) scheduled for implementation. Your task will be to thoroughly assess the impact of this system change and ensure a smooth transition while maintaining operational continuity. On top of that you will play a key role securing new contracts by supporting tender and designing robust operations 

 

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

As a Contract Manager, you will lead a team of Transportation Supervisor, planners and admin and work closely with the broader Site Management Team, reporting directly to the Site Manager. You are part of the Management Team

Furthermore:

  • Directly manage a team of approximately +/-8 staff 
  • Provide strategic input to the Site Manager on transport policy and budget planning, including related requests;
  • Regularly report progress to both the client and the internal team, conduct operational and commercial reviews, analyze performance, and propose improvement strategies;
  • Monitor transportation KPIs, investigate deviations, and take corrective actions;
  • Ensure that transport procedures are up to date and that all administrative processes run smoothly.

 

In this role, you will work in the office adjacent to the transport coordination center and the warehousing operation, allowing you to stay in close contact with your team and understand daily operational challenges. Flexible working hours are available, typically within office hours (08:30 - 17:00), with opportunities for remote work.

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

You are an energetic People Manager with a proven track record of achieving and setting SLAs/KPIs in the transportation sector. You are familiar with budget management and have a successful history of building and maintaining client relationships. You are resilient under pressure and have a solutions-focused mentality. Additionally, you bring the following experience and knowledge:

 

  • HBO+/WO working and thinking level with proven experience in international transportation or logistics;
  • At least 5 years of experience in the transportation sector;
  • At least 2 years of experience in contract management within a transportation environment;
  • Excellent knowledge of transport processes and experience with transportation management systems (TMS);
  • Fluency in English, spoken and written;
  • Knowledge of Lean is a plus.
