YOUR ROLE

As a WMS Systems Engineer, you will be ultimately responsible for further implementing and developing our WMS solutions at our warehouse locations in Roosendaal. In this role, you communicate effectively at various levels, including with programmers, the local management team, employees, and clients. As a knowledge owner and advisor, people rely on you for various issues, and you serve as a specialist in configuring and reconfiguring our WMS systems for new client requirements or projects. You stay well-informed about the ins and outs of the system and proactively translate this knowledge into our warehouse operations.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

You will be part of the Operational Excellence department within the warehouse campus in Roosendaal, reporting directly to the Operations Excellence Manager. Alongside you, Project Engineers and IT specialists work on campus, all contributing to the continuous improvement of our operations.

Your responsibilities include:

• Configuring and managing our WMS system (such as Dispatcher Standard).
• Training and guiding Key Users.
• Monitoring and anticipating issues related to XML (EDI) messaging.
• Identifying and implementing system improvement opportunities.
• Providing daily support for issues or service-related questions.
• Advising the local management team on WMS system capabilities and guidelines.
• Participating in projects aimed at organizational and process improvements.
• Contributing to various innovative and automation projects.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

With your experience in WMS systems, configuring the system and ensuring its smooth operation on the warehouse floor is your greatest motivator! You have strong communication skills and enjoy engaging with programmers and clients in both advisory and specialist roles. You are proactive and see the system's complexity and potential as one of your biggest challenges. Additionally, you bring the following skills and experience:

• Higher professional education (HBO) or equivalent thinking level, preferably in ICT & Automation.
• Knowledge of warehousing and WMS systems.
• Experience with Dispatcher Standard or a similar system is a plus.
• Experience with EDI (XML) messaging is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written skills in both Dutch and English.
