The Advanced Hub Officer in the Ocean Logistics department is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient coordination of Hub operations. This role involves managing the flow of goods through hubs operations, maintaining communication with various stakeholders, and ensuring that all logistics processes comply with industry regulations and company standards. The officer will play a key role in optimizing hub operations and supporting overall supply chain efficiency.

 

*Key Responsibilities:*
1. *Hub Coordination:*
   - Coordinate the handling, loading, and unloading of cargo at hubs.
   - Ensure timely and accurate documentation for shipments, including bills of lading, and other regulatory documents.
   - Work closely with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and carriers to ensure efficient transit of goods.

2. *Hub Operations Management:*
   - Oversee daily operations at assigned ocean hubs, ensuring compliance with safety, security, and operational procedures.
   - Monitor the movement and storage of goods within the hub, addressing any issues that may arise and minimizing delays.
   - Collaborate with CMA CGM teams to align hub operations with overall supply chain strategies.

3. *Stakeholder Communication:*
   - Serve as the primary point of contact between the hub and various internal and external stakeholders, including customers, shipping companies, and regulatory authorities.
   - Provide regular updates on the status of shipments, resolving any issues related to delays, damaged goods, or other disruptions.

4. *Compliance and Documentation:*
   - Ensure that all shipments adhere to international shipping regulations, and company policies.
   - Maintain accurate records of all transactions and ensure that all documentation is filed and stored appropriately.
   - Assist in audits and inspections by providing necessary documentation and information.

5. *Performance Monitoring and Reporting:*
   - Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to hub operations, such as turnaround times, cargo handling efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
   - Identify opportunities for operational improvements and implement best practices to optimize hub performance.

6. *Continuous Improvement:*
   - Participate in initiatives to enhance logistics processes and improve overall efficiency.
   - Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and technologies to ensure the hub operates at the highest standards.

 

*Qualifications:*
- Diploma or degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in ocean logistics or freight forwarding operations.
- Strong understanding of international shipping regulations and documentation requirements.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in logistics management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to addressing operational challenges.


*Working Conditions:*
- This role may require occasional travel to different hubs or terminals.
- Flexibility to work extended hours or shifts to accommodate the needs of the hub and shipping schedules.
