Job Purpose:

The Business Process Excellence (BPE) is responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives, process standardization, and operational efficiency across the organization. This role focuses on optimizing processes, implementing new products or businesses, ensuring process compliance through training, and supporting IT requirements for business operations. The BPE will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver strategic improvements that align with organizational goals.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Drive Standardization and Documentation:

    • Develop, update, and maintain standardized operating procedures, work instructions, and training materials.
    • Ensure consistency and accuracy across all process-related documentation.
  2. Define Processes for New Products/Businesses:

    • Lead the definition and implementation of processes for new product launches or business expansion.
    • Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure smooth integration into existing operations.
  3. Gather and Prioritize Business Requirements for IT:

    • Work with the operations and IT teams to gather business requirements and prioritize them for system enhancements or new IT solutions.
    • Act as the liaison between business users and IT to ensure that system updates align with operational needs.
  4. Ensure Process Compliance:

    • Conduct training sessions for new team members and current operations staff to ensure compliance with internal processes and procedures.
    • Monitor adherence to established processes and report non-compliance issues.
  5. Continuous Improvement Initiatives:

    • Partner with operations teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
    • Develop and execute strategic deployment plans for improvement initiatives.
    • Drive bottom-up continuous improvement through the adoption of lean methodologies such as KAIZEN.
  6. Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Management:

    • Track and analyze operations KPIs such as quality, productivity, and compliance.
    • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to improve performance.
  7. Transport Classification Assessment (TCA):

    • Support the implementation of the Transport Classification Assessment (TCA) in collaboration with the S.E.A. BPE Lead.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant transport regulations and guidelines.
  8. Documentation & Training:

    • Create and update training materials, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions, and other process-related documents.
    • Conduct training sessions to ensure that all employees are well-versed in the procedures.
  9. Project Support & Implementation:

    • Provide support and drive the implementation of new projects from both an operational and system perspective.
    • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure the successful launch of new initiatives.
  10. Lean Basics Implementation:

    • Promote the adoption of lean principles at the site level through tools such as KAIZEN, 5S, and other lean methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in process improvement, operations management, or a related role.
  • Experience in implementing lean methodologies such as KAIZEN, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement processes.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with key performance metrics and data analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
