YOUR ROLE

• Provide competitive, timely and quality pricing/quotations in response to network rate requests, RFQ/RFI/RFP from network offices and Key Accounts enabling business wins
• Respond to rates quotation request from network offices for Air and Ocean Freight
• Deliver compliant and competitive pricing solutions within the agreed timeframe, following the established tender management guidelines

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Network Pricing

• Handle daily Network/Pricing requests received from overseas network offices
• Ensure compliance with Tender desk processes and guidelines
• Respond and assist on quotation requests related to Air and Ocean Freight services
• Work closely with procurement team to provide competitive quotations/ renegotiate as required
• Provide accurate, complete and timely responses to requesting parties
• Support to maintain a pricing database of current transportation rates as a benchmarking tool for bids
• Maintain bid log and bidding results

RFQ Pricing

• Support RFQ/ Tender request from Regional and Country Tender Desk team
• Review and understand RFQ requirements, rate card structure, operational requirements, terms and conditions
• Work with Sales, Procurement and Regional tender team to review opportunity and deliver competitive and quality proposals
• Support monthly tender data records updates and follow up on progress of submitted tenders
• Ensure received tender feedback is shared with relevant functions and areas in the organization
• Other task assigned by Tender Desk Manager

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Diploma/Bachelor degree or above
• 2 years of experience in freight forwarding preferably in pricing
• Excellent analytical, planning and numeric skills
• Good oral, written, interpersonal and communication skills across diverse cultures
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Able to work under pressure with sometimes very tight deadlines
• Independent team player
• Results driven, customer-oriented and meticulous
• Strong organizational skills (prioritize, plan, multi-task, assign, follow and control)
• Be able to challenge colleagues for getting competitive and timely offer while keeping a “team work” spirit
• Pricing and market knowledge of Singapore market
• Ability to interpret company’s strategy and transfer into proposals and bids and uncover new opportunities
• Ability to read, interpret and analyse RFI and RFQ documents in a timely manner
