YOUR ROLE

 

Our team based in Barton under Needwood who provide warehousing and distribution services for a well-known international aerospace/aviation client, have a unique opportunity for a meticulous Inspection Manager where you lead the inspection department ensuring that the operation is following regulatory compliance and adhering to statutory requirements.

 

As the Inspection Manager, you will take responsibility for CEVAs technical representation, managing product acceptance in a highly regulated environment to mitigate the risk of defective materials entering the supply chain.

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

 

Reporting into the Inspection and Quality Manager, you will lead a team of Inspection professionals where you will manage the allocation of work, ensuring that colleagues are appropriately motivated and trained to maximise productivity, setting objectives, holding team briefings, and addressing noncompliance, to achieve customer satisfaction and instill a continuous improvement and high-performance mindset.

 

You will ensure that stamp holder training, records and controls are accurate and robust, review and update work instructions and ensure health and safety standards are adopted by the team. You will design, recommend, and implement technical competencies, continually monitoring assessment requirements and implementing changes accordingly, as well as identifying, managing, and controlling non-conforming products throughout the supply chain. In addition, you will also act as the main point of contact to the customer relating to inspection issues, where you will investigate and embed remedial actions to protect the customer, team and CEVA.

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

To be successful in your application you must hold a recognised engineering certification or equivalent with a strong awareness of inspection principles, health and safety standards and compliance procedures. You will already be working within an aerospace or aviation environment, practiced in leading inspection teams with a focus on succession planning and cross-knowledge sharing to enable team success and customer satisfaction.

 

You will be able to demonstrate experience of building and developing exceptional internal and external relationships, be a skilled decision maker, negotiator and influencer who is able to interact and engage with colleagues at all levels.

 

Experience of strong report writing, and statistical investigative skills are also key requirements for this role, therefore experience of MS Excel is a requirement.
