YOUR ROLE
Our Mendlesham operation who provide warehousing and distribution services to our FMCG customers have an exciting opportunity for a Contract Manager, where you will provide leadership and contract management to a specific client.
This pivotal role will see you building exceptional relationships with the client where you will create and embed a culture of high performance, engagement, continuous improvement and development across your management team driving operational and customer service excellence to meet and exceed all customer and operational objectives.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Reporting into the Senior General Manager, you will lead a singular client within our multi-user and automated operation where you will be responsible for the allocation of work monitoring performance in terms of financial, quality, safety, and service delivery. You will take on full P&L accountability for the client working with financial teams to analyse contractual profitability and prepare monthly and quarterly reports and business reviews for the client. You will support in the implementation of new objectives or contractual obligations and secure contract development and renewal through various operational achievements.
To ensure operational activities are effectively and efficiently managed you will work in close partnership with on-site operational leads and the client to embed collaboration and instill customer service and operational excellence activities. You will also work in collaboration with other on-site contract managers to share best practice and actively promote a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and employee engagement across the site.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
To be successful in your application you will be an accomplished contract manager, who has proven experience of working within a 3PL environment and a strong understanding of automated/manufacturing production line operations. You will possess strong leadership skills with proven experience of managing operational teams. You will be experienced in formulating strategies, producing, and managing budgets.
It goes without saying that you will have excellent communication skills and will be able to interact, engage and present to a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders. You will be a natural problem solver, negotiator and influencer with the ability to make crucial decisions to benefit the contract and operation.
