3PL Business Implementation Manager | Orchard Hills NSW

YOUR ROLE


Reporting to the Start-Up Manager, and based from our offices in Orchard Hills (hybrid working), we’re seeking a new Project Manager to be accountable for the successful delivery of new business implementations, existing business transformation projects and other strategic projects which may arise across the whole of business.


The role is responsible for comprehensive planning to deliver project scope, actions, risks, timeline, budget, and resource to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of outcomes which meet the expectations of both CEVA and the customer.


WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?


Specifically, you will:
 

 

  • Project manage new warehouse / site builds and onboard new business / sites to CEVA, primarily in our Contract Logistics division, but also at times in Ground Transport and Vehicle Logistics
  • Work closely with procurement, operations, business process excellence, IT and suppliers to finalise site layouts and office fitouts, execution of business / warehouse processes, system / IT integrations, and more
  • Develop project controls to track and report status and progress vs plan while adjusting project plan and resource allocation to meet business needs throughout the project
  • Engage and effectively manage customer relations and expectations of all stakeholders (internal and external) while resolving issues and escalations
  • Manage project implementation budget in line with approved CAPEX
  • Ensure that projects are formally closed and, where appropriate, subsequently reviewed and conduct Post Implementation Reviews (PIR) for implemented projects.


WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? 


Our ideal candidate has a tertiary qualification in logistics / supply chain, project management, project / supply chain engineering, or similar coupled with experience related project management experience OR significant operations management experience (in a storage / handling setting).


You should also have:
 

 

  • Working knowledge of accepted project management methodologies / practices (CEVA’s is based on Prince2)
  • Sound understanding of project risk identification, documentation and mitigation
  • Effective financial, analytical, critical reasoning, verbal and written communication skills
  • Competent with Microsoft Project and/or Excel; agile in working with new systems / technologies
  • Strong customer service and relationship management skills.


In addition to providing proof of work rights and suitable professional referees, progressed candidates will be required to undergo a medical assessment and national police check.
