YOUR ROLE

 

Our site, based in Swindon, have the need for a Warehouse Supervisor to join their team. This role will oversee and ensure efficient and safe operation of warehousing and distribution activity, maximising use of appropriate systems and resources to fulfill customer orders and ensure all key performance indicator targets are met in line with budgeted costs.

 

This is a Monday – Friday role, flexible on start and finish times.

 

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

 

  • Provide appropriate management control to ensure that all key performance indicator targets in relation to profit and service are achieved.
  • Monitor performance and progress of warehouse and distribution employees, to ensure that all are appropriately motivated, trained and aware of the required standards.
  • Provide site management with statistical data and reports as required.
  • To ensure customer requirements are fulfilled to the highest possible standard, investigate service failures and ensuring that appropriate remedial actions are put in place.
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety, hygiene and security within the warehouse, ensuring that all relevant health, safety and environmental policies and procedures are adhered.
  • Oversee stock processes and ensure controls are in place.

 

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

 

To be successful in your application you will be an experienced Warehouse Supervisor or highly skilled Team Leader with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence and already operating in a warehousing/transportation or 3PL environment. You will need to have demonstrable experience of leading, managing, and motivating a diverse team with experience of using Warehouse Management Systems. You will used to working in a fast paced and pressurised environment with a strong health and safety mindset.
