Summary Description

Candidate will play a key role in identifying bid opportunities, evaluation of bid opportunities, investigate competition, analyze data, manage bid opportunity sheet, support bid response, and bid submission for opportunities within the US Flag or Government sector.  Candidate will help build library of data, graphics, past performance, and company highlights that will present APL in the best possible way to ensure successful award of new business.  Analysts will build business relationships with trade groups, partnered companies and government agencies.  Candidate will need to ensure people development and demonstrate effective integrity by consistently acting courteously with customers, co-workers, and vendors.

Accountabilities

Business Development Research and Analytics

  • Discover new business opportunities.
  • Coordinate bid tracker sheet
  • Provide business analysis of bid opportunities.
  • Identify competitive information and potential partners.
  • Create internal/external presentations.

RFP Production

  • Support the RFP Process and components for submission.
  • Provide graphics to library for bid submission.
  • Develop relationships with subcontractors and partners.
  • Consolidate key information that will be used in bid submission.

Business Development

  • Farming new RFP from Government database to uncover new business opportunities.
  • Network within business trade groups, US Government Agencies, and customers
  • Capture management

APL Reputation

  • Build rapport with partners and industry leaders to ensure that APL maintains a strong reputation in the industry.

 

Job Qualifications

  • Required Education
    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Experiences
    • Minimum 2 - 5 years in Shipping industry (Research, Analytics, Business Development, Government Sales, Trade or Operations preferred)
