Equipment Coordinator

This position will be responsible to:

 

  • Release equipment from Port of Guam and off dock depots.
  • Create delivery /pickup schedules per vessel voyages
  • Reposition equipment when required.  Create empty repositioning bookings, issue transport orders, do rail , inland  billing if necessary and ensure equipment is moved as requested.
  • Redeliver equipment to be off hired as per notification from HO.
  • Coordinate equipment updates with GBSI , in a timely manner.  (KPI is 24hrs)
  • Follow up with customers about returns / pickups of equipment
  • Release equipment for domestic / Military bookings.
  • Ensure chassis availability in the area of responsibility.
  • Maintain inventory at needed levels in Guam and CNMI depots and Terminals minimizing idle times.
  • Maintain high level of communication with Intermodal, Customer Service Import and Export, M&R, Port Operations departments as well as external customers.
  • To seek/maintain cost savings initiatives in corresponding areas that will benefit CMA CGM.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

 

  • Good attention to detail and organization abilities.
  • Excellent communication skill. (verbal and written)
  • High ability to multitask
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient computer skills to include all Microsoft applications. (excel, outlook, word)

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

 

  • High school diploma or 2 year minimum industry experience required.
  • Knowledge of shipping industry preferred.
  • Dispatching Knowledge is a plus
