THE ROLE


Follow the markets of an energy perimeter. Negotiate, buy under different forms of commitment, including complex new energy contracts.

 


RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  1. Monitor the energy markets in real time, in particular: trends, arbitrage, stocks, geopolitical and economic impacts, fundamentals, technical analyses, market calls, in consultation with the financial market desk
  2. Edit market reports for the management and the Risk committee, animate market points and make recommendations
  3. Negotiate and secure contracts, including on new energies, and verify their proper execution
  4. Define purchasing strategies broken down by geographical area (arbitrations between ports in the same area in particular) and ensure the relevance of the overall bunkering strategy
  5. Develop and monitor your supplier portfolio
  6. Ensure compliance with the legal and/or regulatory framework is guaranteed, in line with the Group's compliance (CSR) and quality requirements
  7. Contribute to the development of dedicated IT tools (testing of new functions, brainstorming, etc.).

 

At the request of your manager, you may also be called upon to carry out studies and distribute occasional analyses.

 

 

PROFILE & COMPETENCIES

 

  • Graduated from a Master’s Degree training in purchasing, energy or in the maritime sector
  • 3 years minimum experience in Trading or in a Purchasing department, in the energy, maritime, banking or commodities sectors
  • Fluent in English (oral and written), advanced functions of Excel as well as office tools
  • Good understanding of marine fuels
  • Integrity, results orientation, excellence of execution, communication and interpersonal skills

 

Travels are to be expected within the framework of missions specific to the purchasing function.
