Your Missions 

 

Pulse aims to accelerate the decarbonization of the CMA CGM group by investing in startups and industrial projects, as well as supporting internal projects. As a member of PULSE, the energy fund of CMA CGM, you will assist the team in identifying and monitoring new investment opportunities for the fund, as well as monitoring the PULSE portfolio. The role also includes general studies on the sectors and segments related to the group's decarbonization strategy. 

Reporting to the Director of PULSE, you will be integrated into the team composed of complementary profiles (engineers, bankers, etc.). 

 

 

What Will You Do? 

 

You will be responsible for collecting and monitoring the business flow (internal and external), sector monitoring, and assisting the teams in analyzing investment opportunities for direct and indirect investments. 

This includes, but is not limited to: 

  • Actively participating in business flow management 

  • Assisting in investment evaluation: organizing and participating in conference calls, reviewing business plans, reviewing information memoranda, performing due diligence, drafting investment notes 

  • Ensuring the follow-up of past investments in the PULSE portfolio and associated news 

  • Conducting market studies, attending conferences, etc. 

  • Assisting in the preparation of investment committees (CxO level) 

You will also respond to capital calls for indirect participations in which Pulse has invested (funds of funds). You will also be responsible for preparing and improving regular internal PULSE reports to the top management (creating tools, etc.). 

 

 

What Are We Looking For? 

 

You have a higher education degree (BAC+5) from a university or business school with a specialization in finance or renewable energy. You are proficient in computer tools (Excel, Word, Internet, Outlook, etc.) and have good IT adaptability. You have financial skills and are comfortable with numbers. You have an interest in renewable energy and the energy sector. Ideally, you have experience in managing and coordinating projects in an international context. You are bilingual in English, can read, write, and communicate with English-speaking colleagues. You demonstrate autonomy, rigor, and creativity. You have team spirit, good interpersonal skills, and excellent communication skills.
