Cargo Flow Supervisor (APAC Region)

Summary:
Reporting to the Cargo Flow Manager, you will coordinate vessel loadings to ensure maximum filling factor on all Line services in compliance with the commercial plan (allocation & routing) and Group Strategy. You will also need to take part in team management.


Main Responsibilities:
To ensure maximum filling factor on all Line services in compliance with the commercial plan, your main responsibilities will be the following : 

 

  • Ensure application of short/long term action plan defined by Line Management in case of over and underused allocation
  • Ensure the loading coordination for all Line services and the compliance of the goods itinerary with the planned routing
  • Coordinate Lines / cut / switch / allocation instructions with the commercial team, other lines Cargo flow, Operations, agents and partners
  • Guide cargo routing according to vessel loading status and suggesting solutions when the allocation is underused or overused
  • Ensure the sharing of loading forecasts and check allocations with partners
  • Produce daily reports on vessel loading to support Lines management
  • Realize and analyse loading statistics to optimize performance
  • Monitor actively the important evolutions on systems and processes
  • Plan the different modifications of cargo flow day-to-day, and participate in the transversal projects to suggest enhancements, adapt methods and tools if necessary
  • Ensure training and monitor Cargo flow skill level regularly for his/her team (Business, Cargo flow process, IT system, etc.)
  • Responsible for animation of the team (Task prioritization, objectives follow-up, feedback, availability for the team, etc.) and planning organization (holiday organization, backup plan, activity assessment, etc.)
  • Must review common objectives with manager and run Yearly Performance Evaluation for his/her team
  • Can participate to the recruitment process (assessment, interviews, etc.)

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum a Diploma holder from recognised institutions from relevant field of studies
  • At least 5 years’ of experience in shipping 
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, especially MS Excel
  • Have strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills
