Feeder Procurement Officer (Maternity Cover)

CHENG LIE Navigation Company (CNC Line) is a leader in intra-Asia trade. Subsidiary of the CMA CGM Group, CNC Line offers personalized services and has specific expertise in the transport of containers with temperature control (refrigerated containers or Reefers).

Summary
In this role, you are responsible for providing support for feeder procurement activities relating to tender management, rate enquiries, invoicing, and payments. You are also to provide support in preparing weekly reports related to feeder procurement.

Main Responsibilities:

• Prepare and conclude quarterly tender exercise for 3 regions (s.e.asia/ India sub-con/n.e.asia) for 3PF feeder operators
• Request tender quotes from players and negotiate for better rates
• Key elements to consider for nomination - space, rates, service reliability
• Constant follow up with internal and external parties to ensure that our cargoes are evacuated from t/s hubs without delays
• Any new ad-hoc or barges if need to clear our cargo is also reviewed.
• Handles rates enquiries, negotiation with feeder operators, space protection, 3PF CCA contract and all ad-hoc matters related to procurement
• Prepare and provide necessary updates and required report to the management as and when required
• Communicate well with all stake holders - HO, Asia Regional ofc, SSC, FICOM, GSSC, local agencies, feeder operators and extend full support whenever required on invoice related matters 
• Coordinate with all relevant parties for timely payment release to feeder operators whenever necessary 
• Handles escalation related to invoice/payment related matters to third party feeder operators
• File and maintain all negotiated rates to ensure a smooth invoicing process
• Generate weekly report 

Minimum Requirements:

• Proficiency with MS Excel i.e. vlookup and pivot table functions
• Knowledge of the container shipping industry will be an advantage.
