Head of Sales, Intra Asia

 

CHENG LIE Navigation Company (CNC Line) is a leader in intra-Asia trade. Subsidiary of the CMA CGM Group, CNC Line offers personalized services and has specific expertise in the transport of containers with temperature control (refrigerated containers or Reefers).

 

 

Brief Summary
Reporting to the Deputy CEO of CNC, the Head of Sales, Intra Asia is responsible for driving the overall market share and performance of International Freight Forwarder (IFF) and Global Accounts (GA) portfolio managed by CNC. 


Main Responsibilities
1.    Supervise and manage a team of executives handling key international customers.
2.    Visit key accounts periodically to maintain existing business and develop new business
3.    Engage with Sales/Customer service teams in each country to ensure key customers are given timely solutions from booking stage to final destination.
4.    Co-ordinate with internal departments for space and rates to secure business in line with service portfolio and our strengths
5.    Tender management and close co-ordination with Trade teams on Pricing matters.
6.    Set up targets for key customers on annual basis by mutual agreement.
7.    Periodic performance review with key customers to monitor performance vs awards 
8.    Conduct weekly meetings with International Freight Forwarder (IFF) and Global Accounts (GA) team to identify and resolve issues for respective key customers by engaging with internal or external stakeholders
9.    Attend weekly inter-departmental meetings to identify and resolve cross functional issues.
10.    Market updates on competitors’ actions
11.    Market updates on new customer trends and requirements.
 
Minimum requirements
•    Bachelors Degree and above
•    At least 10 years of working experience in container shipping, Freight Forwarding and Key Account Management
•    5 years of people management experience leading a team 
•    Good command in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point)
•    Good verbal and written communication skills
